The first glimpse into Lucy & Henry’s cheerful spring wedding was through their brightly colored Save the Date created by Two Blue Doors. The stationery team created a custom artichoke design, symbolizing hope for the future, an element that peeked in throughout the event in little surprises.
After a pampered morning by Danielle Style, the bridesmaids and their bride were escorted to the Church of the Annunziata in a cute Saint Louis style trolley provided by St. Louis Trolley.
Lucy was glowing as she walked down the aisle, holding her bouquet with lush peonies and roses by Schnucks Florist & Gifts, to meet her groom at the other end. The afternoon ceremony was a sacred event that honored the couple’s Catholic faith and reflected the new life the couple was about to embark together. Elegant Ensembles, accompanied by an organ and harpist, filled the church with lovely music.
Jon Koch Photography captured every emotion and every moment.
Upon arrival to the private club in Saint Louis, guests were greeted by an elegant escort card table which held cards in a unique design created for the family which were topped with an artichoke cut-out on each card. Inside the club the guests enjoyed eating raw oysters and fresh shrimp from the show stopping ice bar by Ice Visions.
After cocktail hour, guests made their way outside to the tent for dinner and dancing. The Clearspan structure provided by Traube Tents & Structures was beautifully constructed and elegantly decorated with white sheer draping and crystal chandeliers by Exclusive Events.
As guests were seated shimmering “Starlight” charger plates sparkled by BBJ atop crisp white pintuck linens by Connie Duglin Linens. Premier Rentals white chiavari chairs were paired with BBJ’s apple green chair pads to complete the look.
Each table featured a low and lush raspberry pink, crisp white and fresh green centerpieces by Schnucks Florist & Gifts surrounded by votive candles. The bride’s father, being in the commercial real estate business, was able to collect artichoke finials which were later sprayed a dusty pewter and turned into table number holders.
Once everyone was seated, the bride and groom were heralded in to the room by the father of the bride after they cut their five tiered cake designed and created by Schnucks Bakery. “Just For me” by Al Green played for the couple’s first dance. The guests were welcomed to dance all night long to the smooth and energetic sounds of The Ralph Butler Band.
The affair was the perfect expression of the couple’s love for one another and guests departed knowing they were a part of a spectacular and memorable celebration.
Detailed planning and hard work, provided by a wonderful team of vendors, were essential in making Lucy and Henry’s wedding an award winning event! Cosmopolitan Events was granted the Louie Award for producing the 2013 Best Wedding by the International Special Events Society.
