“For you I’d wait, ‘til Kingdom come.” The perfect words to complement the story of Mackenzie and Sam. After a dinner at 1111 Mississippi, Mackenzie walked into her sunroom to find Sam had filled the room with flowers and candles. With a bottle of champagne on ice and Coldplay’s ‘Til Kingdom Come playing in the background, Sam got down on one knee and asked Mackenzie to be his wife.
We were so honored to be part of this pair’s special day. Mackenzie and Sam began their journey together while both were attending the University of Missouri. The beautiful ceremony was held June 26th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Clayton. The gorgeous images of this event were captured by Stephen Seebeck Photography.
Bridesmaids & groomsmen wore black with matching bouquets and boutonnieres to each pair walking down the aisle together. Bouquets were unique to each bridesmaid, composed of bright white bunches of one monochromatic flower, a different type of flower for each bridesmaid. The groomsmen mirrored the ladies, each with a different white single flower boutonniere.
After the delightful ceremony, guests headed to the fabulous new Saint Louis Venue, the Palladium.
Guests entered cocktail hour to energetic lighting, provided by the Aries Company, displaying unique patterns to add a bit of drama. Cocktail napkins with a story of the couple’s engagement accented the unique Prosecco bar providing an array of garnish choices for guests to choose from. Miniature signs were placed on the purple and silver cocktail tables to inform guests of the timing for the events to occur in the evening ahead. Floor to ceiling drapes of white voile were created by Exclusive Events, and were used to visually separate the dining and cocktail area, creating a sheer mystery of the details beyond the curtains. To invite guests to enter the reception area, the soft fabric opened revealing a dramatic scene of square, silver linen-draped tables accented by Montano Grant’s modern white, multiples arrangements. Each arrangement was composed of clustered white flowers in tall clear cylinder vases and surrounded by tons of votive candles warming the room and giving the event a special kiss of romance. Silver mirror charger plates were placed in front of each guest, and a clear lucite table number with white calligraphy was placed among each centerpiece. White leather furniture, a white dance floor, and unique light up bar were in the center of the room so all guests had a clear view to all of the exciting events that would take place throughout the evening.
Jewel tones of vibrant purple and fuchsia accented the room, while the couple’s signature chandelier design was projected onto the walls, providing the perfect touch of sophistication. As Mackenzie and Sam sat down for dinner, a “Just Married” gobo was projected onto a curtain, behind the long head table.
Mackenzie and Sam shared cake provided by The Cakery decorated in a ribbon and ruffle pattern, to mirror her AMAZING Romona Keveza gown. After hours of dancing and celebrating the newlyweds, guests were provided sparklers to send the couple off, and guests were handed the fabulous centerpieces wrapped in a jewel-toned ribbon and thank you card as a gift.
It was such an honor to share this day and we wish the best of luck to Mackenzie and Sam!
