The year 2020 has been a crazy and unexpected year for countless reasons!
Within our event world, many couples have decided to postpone, micro-size or even cancel their originally envisioned special day. Since March, we have been working with our couples to adjust and update their wedding plans to ensure safety while still having a joyful and beautiful event!

This past September we celebrated Hannah & Grant’s alfresco micro-wedding at their Grandparents’ Residence. The unexpected change in venue provided layers of personal meaning and warm memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Originally, the couple planned for a large celebration with more than 250 guests. Wedding Guests were invited from all over the country including their current hometown of Dallas, Texas.

Following policy changes at their private club intended to host the celebration, Hannah & Grant continued their journey with faith and grace, determined to celebrate this most special occasion. With swift efforts, The Cosmopolitan Events Team began developing “Plan B” while moving each of the vendors to the new location.

With everything in place at their Grandparent’s Residence, the County of Saint Louis suddenly announced a mandate banning large gatherings, so it was back to the drawing board for the Bride and Groom. Hannah and Grant held fast to their original wedding date on Labor Day Weekend. Out of this dedication, blossomed this outdoor micro-celebration, hosting 50 guests.

Taking place at this beautiful home, the intimate group was able to bear witness to the meaningful ceremony, enjoy a poolside cocktail hour, and continue the celebration under a spectacular tented reception for dinner and dancing!

The sweet ceremony was live-streamed for all of the friends, family and loved ones who could no longer be there to witness.

The tented reception was spaced out accordingly to ensure proper social distancing while showcasing the beautiful décor from Decorum and flowers from their close family friend MCK Designs.

Since their private club was no longer able to cater the event, The Crossing, a local St. Louis restaurant owned by Hannah’s Uncle, catered a delicious three-course dinner. Having family involved in the celebration made it all the more personal to the bride and groom.

Hannah and Grant finished the evening by mingling and dancing with their closest friends and family before being sent away with a vivacious sparkler goodbye.

Although their initial plans were adjusted and evolved, Hannah and Grant were able to spend the entire day surrounded by their loved ones, celebrating nothing but love!
