In honor of Dena and Simon’s one year anniversary, we want to take this opportunity to show everyone this couple’s really special (and beautiful!) day. There are so many things that make this wedding so awesome, starting with the wedding date! Dena and Simon were married on the wedding anniversary of her parents and grandparents – all married in the same church!
The elegant and romantic stationery, designed by Cheree Berry Paper, was the perfect starting point for this beautiful wedding.
Dena and her bridesmaids enjoyed breakfast and pampering by Emily Miller Hair & Makeup before jetting off to the church.
Stephen Seebeck Photography captured these moments of the bride and her bridesmaids before the ceremony at her childhood home. Dena is stunning even as she is getting ready!
These timeless images at Our Lady of Pillar Catholic Church capture the loving looks between bride and groom.
Before departing the church, guests cheered the couple on with ribbon wands as they made their way through the crowd.
Dena’s bouquet was elegant and organic. Thorn Studio interpreted the floral design perfectly!
After an afternoon of pictures around St. Louis the wedding party joined guests in the courtyard of John Burroughs School– Dena’s alma mater. The school was transformed into a welcoming and fun environment to party the night away. Butler’s Pantry cooled guests off with frosty drinks and amazing Italian-inspired food stations.
Exclusive Events made the outdoor cozy by using lounges and fire pits along with the romantic décor enhanced by specialty lighting around the property.
There were so many intricate details that went into making Dena and Simon’s wedding day special including many family heirlooms collected over the years and hand crafted water color paintings that were used for signage and print materials.
The Grand Hall inside the school was filled with rustic wooden tables that normally are for the kids in school, instead the Cosmo team saw an opportunity to create a rustic-chic design using them! The rich and natural linens were furnished by BBJ Linen and topped with perfectly placed floral arrangements and glowing candles.
Don’t you just want to dig in to this great cake from Sarah’s Cake Shop? We may have had a few pieces!
Guests moved back outside for more drinks and dancing to GalaxyRED. How cool is it to dance in your high school courtyard?! Cosmo’s design team thought through how to make it even more special with the lighting design and the band tent. The weather was perfect for an evening under the stars.
Guests surrounded the couple with sparklers for their first dance creating an absolutely unforgettable moment…that wasn’t the last of the sparks for the evening…
As a surprise for the bride, the bride’s mother made a secret arrangement for fireworks to go off at the end of night. Dena’s birthday is on the Fourth of July and her mother thought it would add the perfect touch. We couldn’t agree more!
We had such a wonderful time getting to know this sweet couple and their families. We wish them a lifetime of fireworks!
