This global love story began when Brian moved from Ireland to Chicago, and through mutual friends, was introduced to Katie. After a couple years of dating, Brian designed the perfect ring and proposed in beautiful Forest Park.
Family and friends were invited to celebrate on July 20th via a custom-designed invitation by Cheree Berry Paper. The rest of the stationery took on the coral, navy and pewter palette with chevron design throughout the event.
While Danielle Style pampered the bride and bridesmaids with hair and makeup…
…the men enjoyed a round of golf at Algonquin Golf Club.
The bride wore a gorgeous sweetheart dress accessorized with a Navajo squash blossom necklace and her signature beaded cowgirl boots. Her Badgley Mischka dress from Berrybridge Bridal was perfectly complemented by the navy bridesmaids’ dresses, platinum heels, and bouquets filled with peach roses, coral ranunculus and grey dusty miller foliage.
Guests arrived to the evening ceremony at Webster Grove Presbyterian Church, which was beautifully decorated in succulent-accented arrangements.
Guests were greeted by potted succulents, doubling as place cards specially designed with collaborative effort between Wildflowers and Cheree Berry Paper.
While sipping on margaritas in mason jars, guests were invited to relax and play a game of corn hole adorned with the bride and groom’s new monogram!
Katie remembers walking into the reception as husband and wife seeing all of her family and friends as her most memorable moment. “The room felt so inviting and warm, and looked even more perfect than I had imagined!”
Once everyone was seated the couple was introduced with their first dance as husband and wife “Where the West Wind Blows” by Green River Ordinance followed by the traditional cutting of a beautifully four-tiered cake designed by Encore Bakery. Griffin and the Gargoyles then took over the night with all of the guests kicking up their heels!
After a night of fun, Katie & Brian exited their party in a sea of sparklers!
The couple continued their adventures in Lucerne, Switzerland and Lake Como/Florence, Italy for their honeymoon. Warm wishes to Katie and Brian as they enjoy the journey of life together!
